Pair of Dutch Landscape Architecture Drawings

Illustrated by Gijsbert Van Laars and dating from 1802, these were published as part of a guide showing English landscape architectural ideas to a Dutch audience, who had yet to explore the less practical side of decorative gardening. It became extremely popular and set the tone for garden style in the Netherlands. They make such a pleasing pair and its a delightfully unusual subject matter that really stands out and would look fantastic in a traditional room. 

The vintage frame is also sourced from the Netherlands and a blue mount has been used to bring out the lovely colours in the pair of hand coloured engravings.
