From an 1864 Biritish lithograph, by John Sowerby, this series of six sweet peas is delicate and exquisitely contemporaneously hand-coloured. Nothing says English summer quite like these sweet peas, you can almost smell them!
In order to preserve the quality and feel of the original engravings we have used museum archivists for scanning and are publishing a limited print run on Canson art paper. The only adjustments made to the original were removing age stains and increasing the size. No compositional or colour changes were made.
