Fifteen French heraldic flags framed in royal blue

This collection of flags from France dates from 1874. They look stunning in their royal blue frames which sets off the gilding within the images beautifully. The banners depict a selection of the colours of the king, army regiments, naval regiments and national flags. Together they form a highly decorative and timeless collection due to the repetition of shapes and the subtle glow of the gilding.
