Pair of French engravings of plums

Two hand-coloured steel-engravings in immaculate condition with excellent colouring. They are extremely decorative and would look at home in a kitchen, garden room or boot room perhaps. 

The species depicted are Damas Violet and Perdrigon Violet, with the whole fruit, section, leaf and seed on display. There is a highly attractive bronze sheen to the purple of the colours and this is picked up on by the frame. 

These make a handsome pair, but mixed with the apple quartet also in this section of the website they would look stunning.
