Pair of Urns after Cherubino Alberti

These antique prints are from an original 1582 series of ten etchings  depicting ancient vases. The plates are numbered in the bottom left corner and the derivation from the work of Cherubino Alberti is indicated. 

The highly ornate urns feature sea monsters, lions legs and serpent bodies. They have been framed in a rich burgundy fabric frame.
